Keyway is a family shop, and we’d like to train the next member of it.

What you’ll do

You’ll start in our shop cutting keys, rekeying cylinders and learning how every lock works. Within a few months you’ll ride along on service calls with Ray or Marcus, and by the end of your first year you’ll take the simple calls yourself.

Over about two years you’ll learn residential, automotive and commercial work: lockouts, rekeying, deadbolts, car key programming, panic bars and safes.

What we’re looking for

A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. A steady hand, patience, and the ability to stay calm with someone who’s having a bad day. You’ll pass a background check, as every one of our technicians does. No locksmith experience is required.

Pay and schedule

$18 to $22 an hour to start, with raises as you earn each certification, which we pay for. Full-time, Monday to Friday days, with a paid on-call rotation after your first year. Health insurance after 90 days, a company van and uniform, and paid time off.
